Residential Privacy-Security Gates – Types, Materials, And Styles
Residential privacy-security gates are available with two types of movement: swing or slide.
Privacy-security swing gates open by swinging into or out of your property. Smaller, single-swing gates have one leaf, while larger, double-swing gates have two.
Privacy-security slide gates typically slide open and closed by rolling along stainless steel tracks. Cantilever slide gates have no track over the driveway. Most slide gates have one section but two-section, tandem gate systems are available for space-constrained properties.
Iron gate materials include gates made of cast iron or wrought iron. Cast iron is harder while wrought iron is stronger.
